Matadero Madrid

Matadero Madrid, located on the banks of the Manzanares River, is a cultural landmark that transforms a former industrial slaughterhouse into a dynamic contemporary art centre. Its refurbishment respects the original architectural essence, combining brick structures with modern elements that enhance its functionality and visual appeal.
In terms of lighting, the space has a lighting design that enhances the industrial aesthetics of the complex. Strategically placed spotlights highlight the textures of the historic buildings, while perimeter lighting in the courtyards and walkways creates a welcoming and vibrant ambience. In the exhibition and performance areas, adaptive lighting systems create immersive atmospheres according to the nature of each event.
